JB OZ 1 BSA Hornet and JSB 15.9 gr Exacts at 155 yards.
Testing the new Bushnell Elite 6500 scope elevation repeatability I first made one shot at 50 yards. It is one of three on this scaled down rimfiire pig silhouette:
Next shot was at 155 yards: Almost dead calm and sight zeroed at this range from Chairgun:
Then sight wound back down to 50 yards and a second shot on the pig:
A third shot was made on the pig with the new test 18.1 gr Exacts and no sight alteration. See above - there are three hits there. The heavy pellets have the same POI as the lighter ones because their BC is higher.
That was the end of that experiment and showed, at least in a limited way that the new scope has repeatable elevation adjustment.
Finally and two days later, I shot a five shot group on the little cast iron egg skillet:
It measures 0.95 inches ctc . That is 0.585 MOA at 155 yards
Do you think I should try to re-enter the UK BBS chat arena now?... Just joking
Hope you enjoyed seeing my new toy and the beginnings of what it may do on the targets.
The first shot I had with it on a rabbit was at 116 yards lasered. The pellet entered the head. came out and entered the back, went on through the backbone a lung and liver and stopped in the kidney zone: Caution graphic:
From the shed door where the shot was made it is 116 yards to the base of the farthest gum tree beyond the left end of the log in the foreground. The rabbit was beside the base of that tree. No need for seconds . POI KE is 15.9 fpe at 669 fps according to Chairgun and the Chairgun chart was dead on for the lasered distance. We are really blessed to have such a ballistic programme.
Kind regards, Harry.
