just wondering if anybody has a surefire torch and if they can be mounted to a rifle for hunting

Hi urban,
yes mate I have Surefire gear and they are ideal for gun mounting.
To give you an idea of how they look mounted on an AR look at Chris Thomas' post "pest control" post in Air Gun hunting section. I use the same type of torch mount method.
