G'day All
Today I was pokin around the shed and got it in my head I needed a torch mounted on the AR and after a bit of thought and a trip to the camping and outdoor shop this is what I came up with.
Its pretty basic with two clips bolted back to back and a 2 cell AA maglite.
The torch just pushes into the 15mm clips and then it all just pushes over the muzzle brake and fits nice and snug.
Plastic clips wont hurt the blueing and it can be added or taken off with ease.
Because its at the end of the barell it should be easier to focus to a point as well or just leave it on a bit of a spread beam.
Total cost- clips=$1.50 each($6.00)
Torch was a gimme from a mate.!!

What was the shop and what brand were the clips ?

It was the camping store in casino, but the clips you could get at any decent boat or chandlery shop they are 15mm ID , usually used to hold oars or round Items.
Dont think they have a brand.
Pretty easy to make.

I think its a theoben MB from memory, lewis will confirm this.
The beeman ones have grooves machined around them I think.

Quite a good clip on mount set up,the only thing I think you will find is that the a/r will definitely be muzzle heavy. After a few shots especially hunting at night etc you will see what I mean,thats if you haven,t got good biceps them arms is going to get wobbly.
When and if this happens,consider mounting the torch on the scope tube. that way the weight of the rifle is near enough to its best balance point. I reckon the clips you have could well do the job on the scope,if not they would not have to be much bigger for the job.
The torch you are using will do the job ok even on the scope. It doesn,t matter if the torchlight makes a shadow from the scope body the shadow won,t be on your target area at all. And stop thinking about how to hold the airgun all the time,just be gentle and shoot it!

Rayg- The whole setup weighs less than 200grams, you dont even know its on there,The gun is heavy and would limit most smaller built people(6ft,134kg.),I have no trouble carrying it.
I have no trouble shooting my airgun and very rarely have to think about whats going on with it, and if you check out a few of my posts you will see.!!!
