As kids most of us would have used the rough Aussie made Wasps, then the Eley made ones in the tins showed up here in the 80'x and then vanished.
Bisley in the UK took over the name but the quality wasn't the same as the Eley made ones.
The Eley ones in .22 were a 5.6mm pellet that suited the older British guns better than European 5.5mm.
Back in the 80's Eley made a 5.5mm Wasp for Manchester Airguns, the MAG Hornet, in a purple tin.
Well, Bisley have had a new Wasp made, apparently, by H+N that looks decent, in 5.5mm. In the purple tin. .177's are in the classic red tin.
Hopefully we see the Down Under for a bit of nostalgia even tho they look not much like the old Wasps.
