So the journey begins, I’m not a lover of springers, having said that I have two HWs one in 177 sub 12 ft lb one 20 maybe 16 ft lb I know there is a technique in shooting them but I don’t know it so any advice would be appreciated.

I haven't watch this but have a look and google artillery hold for air rifles if you need more info.
Note from pass sore should if shooting air gun from a bench for a while and then changing to your 30-06 don't use your artillery hold. At least I didn't get a black eye but the Shoulder felt it. :|

Hold 'em as lightly as possible, basically. Which can be hard for the heavy ones.

Thanks for the tips, fired a few at 15m that's all the distance I have indoors must admit it was going ok basically through the same hole just enlarging the group grip it different and the flyer appears I just need to work on the hold.

If you are serious about a springer then I can only share my experiences in them but hope it helps.
I found Weihrauch suited me best, shoot amazing on right pellets (10mm group at 50m)
Power is not the key to good springer shooting, put a good quality time kit in it to get it at that 12fps
The tune will also reduce twang and sideways movements
I have a HW77 22CAL and a HW97K 177CAL had tune kits in both from Matt Windsor.
Then put proper springer scope mounts on it that lock with a grub screw.
Then a good quality springer scope I used all Hawke optics and it worked for me.
The 97K could get me head shots on starlings nearly every time
The made my crappie shooting look like I actually knew how to shoot.
Hope this helps
