First Harvest for the HW100

Well I have had the Hw 100 for a few daze and last Monday decided I should take it out to one of my permissions with the plan to set up some targets from 10 m out to 50-60 metres with the idea of learning the trajectory of my chosen hunting pellet luckily this pellet shot well at the shorter ranges.
But the bloody wind was coming out of the South East at 25-30km.Not conducive to great accuracy with a pffft gun and a learner
That plan was dropped and a cunning plan was suggested by Baldrick and immediately instigated. The idea was to set up in a North South running gully just of a couple of warrens. The first rabbit sighted and shot at was duly missed high but with the next pellet finding the mark :D another was dispatched minutes late with a PB of 31m I was on a roll here with 2 from 3 when the next shot presented at 45 m the confidence was sky high with a very nice head shot I did allow 2” for drift and drop .Then the camera rang and I had to walk back out of the gully to the ute so the caller and I could have a conversation out of the wind.Turns out it was the Master of things pffftt with some sage words of wisdom anyway we dribled a bit of shit for 5 mins or so before I returned to my previous position.Dispatched a few more cute and cuddlies some but not all with headshots a few drifted into the sump on a couple but thankfully they were culled with a wuick follow up
On my way out Of the property a young buck rabbit was seen with a couple of pretty ladies and I thought here was my opportunity to see how the H+N Barracuda Hunter 22.1 grn pellet would go at that distance
The first shot went low so I held over another hash that one went lower so I held over a little more with that shot dropping even more. This had me stuffed until I looked at the pressure gauge  back to the ute for a top up and to fill the mag. That done I again resumed my position on the grassy hill
It took me a further four shots to work out windage and holdover but I eventually scored a killing hit with a high shoulder shot new PB of 71m

Good work.
Did happen to get the sun right where you can watch the pellet in the scope and as it nears it's target you say "your fucked" ?

All smiles here Marcus shooting a PCP is great fun.Especially when you take one rabbit out of a group and the others look at it like what are you doing laying on the ground doing the Funky chicken. 8)

There was also a cat the eluded me on the way out as it ducked into a deadfall and would not show itself now that would have been a nice way of blooding the HW Mick

Not yet daisy but I cannot wait for it to happen

Yes Ryan it is a nice Hw100 that I must thank Gavin M for.

Great stuff Andrew - thanks for sharing & now I'm starting to understand how quickly you have become a ppfft convert. Will there be any more Sokas coming on the market

That was worth the wait.
As Daisy said, get the light right and watch the pellet fly and connect. :bang:

Doh. Sorry Missed. :?

That was me on the phone disturbing his afternoon frolick folks. I thought it was good manners to return a friend's call. Couldn't hear a bloody thing he was saying because of the wind.
