Went down the High st and picked up the Beeman R9 in 20 cal today :D :D :D

I had already arranged a set of Sportsmatch mounts in 1" via a member from the dark side BUT when I fitted them up to the BSA AR 3-12x44 AO scope yesterday it was apparent that they were to low :x :( :x

Called into the Horsley Park Gunshop on my wonders around early today and picked up a set of mediums and the Last tin of 20 cal H+N Field Target Trophy 11.42 gr pellets.

Home still in the AM but had to wait much to Mrs Missed annoyance until 3.00pm when the FAR rang back with a Rego number.Raced home grabbed the scope mounts and pellets and spun the wheels for 21k Dave to get to my mates private Air Gun range. :D.Set up on an old washing machine and a camp chair bag and proceeded to shoot it in at 10 m.Not sure if that will suit the trajectory yet but it seemed like a reasonable compromise to start off.

Got it set up and handed it over to the terrible two to do their worst. Neither can actually cock it on their own but when they work as a team anything is possible :D.Once they had it sorted out I was able to sit backand have a yarn while the Rockin rabbit got rocked and a stuffed teddy bear was sent to the great Pickinnic basket in the sky as well as various water filled plastic bottles and cans.

The two stage Reckord trigger is very smooth but maybe a bit heavy and the let of is predictable and clean.I think Lewis may have given it a slight tweak as it seems very smooth and not at all Twangy  Pics to follow

Ah, young Skywalker. Your move to the Dark side is almost complete. Listen to the force.............. it goes Phut.

I can foresee. It will be compulsory to have Phut Phut at the next Missathon. A cheaper weekend will be had by all with more trigger squeezes.

Trevor the Phut is strong and I think wanting to shoot one of Mrs Missed`s chooks may have darkened the Horizon.

May the Phut be with you

Excellent ... Im glad it arrived :D
I was hoping you would have had it for the last field target shoot at Canberra.

You'll certainly be ready for the next one.

My recollection of the R9 in 20 cal is that Lewis tuned them as a matter of course. It shouldn't need much done except maybe a new breech seal. PM me your address and I shall send one up in the post.

Most of us won't be up again until the ACT State/Territory Titles on the first weekend of August. In the mean timd, practice, practice, practice. But, that doesn't mean that you can't drive 20 mins up the road and shoot FT with the others. ;-)

May the FARCE be with you brother Phut. :)

Well first blood to the R9.Two wabbits at 10 and 15m .The cute little one at 10 was hit a bit low in the neck from directly behind and squealed like no tomorrow which as you guessed brought in a Fox pup at a hurry.Mini Missed was on torch duty and picked him up at around 40m he side stepped around some rocks and a blackberry and propped at about 25 i held the crosshire just below his ear and squeezed that magic trigger sending a 11.5 gr H+N FTT on its way There was a resounding wack and the Old mate cartwheeled back down the hill and into the rocks at the Blackberry.Anyway no body so no addition to the TallyImageBut here is a phone pic of the 15m bunny
