Hi All.
I am upgrading t0 300 Bar tanks.
All my existing charge adaptors are to suit 200-232 bar tanks with the k valve clamp style. 300 Bar tanks have Din fitting .
can I remove the the y bracket from the adaptor and install a fitting that will then screw in to the Din so I don't have to buy all new Complete adaptors .
Regards
Chris

Hi Chris,
With all due respect to yourself and the learned folk on this forum, that question can only be answered by the manufacturers of the equipment you wish to adapt.
The pressures involved at 232 Bar and 300 Bar are not insignificant. 232 Bar is around 3400 psi, while 300 Bar is around 4500 psi.
Any failure at these pressures has the potential to be catastrophic.
I have a fair background in this area, having spent 25+ years in the diving game, with certification in equipment repair, oxygen equipment, gas blending and actual diving stuff too.
The bottom line is the DIN adaptor will work at 300+ Bar. There is no such guarantee for the equipment the adaptor connects to, the only ones who will know this are the manufacturer.
"It should be OK" is really not good enough...

Great advice thank you
I have been using PCP for around 15 years now and 3000 + PSI is scary stuff and must be treated with respect.
I keep all my stuff in A1 condition and regularly have my charge adapters checked for wear and damage by a local hydraulics and air company that deal with stuff to 4500 PSI.
But going from 232 to 300 bar is a new world for me and I have been asking plenty of questions to make sure I am doing it correctly.
I got on to Midland in the UK last night and sent them part numbers and pictures of my existing adapters and all are rated to 300 Bar and can accept a fitting that will allow my existing charge adaptors to be used on 300 Bar din safely and legally .
I have seen to many dills mucking around with filling PCP air rifles with gear in poor condition tanks out of date really scary stuff .
