I met a toy collector/dealer who told me he had an old air gun he's had since the 70's boxed and fired less than 100 pellets, he didn't even remember what it was.

He invited me to his home to have a look.

It was like looking at a brand new gun, still in the original plastic, didn't hesitate to fork out the cash as soon as I saw it.

Was dry but after oiling in all the right places with Secret Sauce it's shooting like a brand new gun.

The serial number starting with 576 means it was made May 1976.

I love this gun because you can shoot it even with only one pump and it's so quiet no one can hear it.

As an aside, and this may be old news, I heard that Gamo bought out Daisy recently.

The way you're loading up that safe, you're going to have to build a strong room downstairs. :p

Gamo buying out Daisy would make sense. They have a relationship going back a long time, about the same as Beeman and Weihrauch. I have a Gamo Olympic 10m rifle stock on my HW77 FT rifle, and in those days, Daisy actually made that rifle for Gamo. From memory it was also named Daisy 128 target.

The Daisy range is trully extensive but its just a case of not being able to get them here (importers have little knowledge if the airgun market). OK, I'll take that step, Little knowledge of airguns.

I think the acquisition would make Gamo the largest fish in the pond given they already own BSA.

Whats the top one Daisy ?? I like the look of that, stock is more traditional

Camel the top one is a RWS Excalbire in 22 cal. They were made by FX in Sweden and sold under a few different names.
I got that from Lewis a long time ago. He gave me one in grade 3 Turkish walnut.
Shot at 100m a fair while ago.

Thanks mate, very nice bit of gear, and it shoots well too. If I was ever to get a pfft pfft gun, it would be one of similar lines as that. 22 cal sounds good too. He certainly looked after you in the wood department.
