I have just pretty much junked this rifle as even I can't bring it back to life. I will strip it and eventually sell everything as parts except the compression tube and matching trigger block. This is the stuffed bit which will cost me more to replace than what I paid for the rifle. There will be bits including a Maccari sub 12 kit with the piston in the classified down the track.
The serial number is on the barrel which I'm guessing renders the barrel the actual firearm. Can my brains trust confirm this for me? Yeah, I know. I can pick up the phone an call LRD and talk to their computer system but ........... I think that to sell, it would have to be trasnsferred as a firearm.

When I have bought barrels they needed a dealer transfer. Those imported had to come through a dealer first. ...
Did the Maccari unit lift the power/MV to 10 fpe or better? ......... Regards, Harry.

The Maccari kit was producing 11.3 fpe with FTTs. It was just beautiful to shoot. Just confirmed that with LRD this arvo as well. Thanks Harry. So now it's decision time; VICPOL Crusher or sell it?....Yrrah wrote:When I have bought barrels they needed a dealer transfer. Those imported had to come through a dealer first. ...

Lewis, Lets just say "Magic Fingers with the Golden Touch" installed the kit before I bought the rifle. In fact I may give you a buzz to discuss this marvel of a so call gunsmith in Melbourne. It is the third rifle that I have come across that this guy has butchered. The other two, I was able to rescue.
