It's the ballistic calculator watch that gives it away he's English.
Hmmm, can't quite make out what's written on the receiver...

Looks like a Sports Match GC2 PCP from the branding on the action. Almost all the stocks were custom jobs. Only about 1500 ever made and were highly sort after in its day. About a handful in this country and I've handles one in NSW. I think they were 80/90s vintage. But the I could be totally wrong.
Meh. It's a only PCP and a bloody long one at that. Looks like a member of the England FT team from his cap. Can't make out the year on his hat.

Sportsmatch GC2 as written above. The GC is for Gerald Cardew who designed the air regulator for it; and of "The Air Gun from Trigger to Muzzle" book fame.
The rifles were built from 1986 to 1993. The fellow's hat says he was an England Team member 1990 ... but you be the judge ( I'm having my second eye cataract op in the morning
) ... Regards, Harry.

Get well soon Harry. It just mean you can see the target at 100 yds without the fog .............. better target acquisition.

Re: Can anyone tell me the make of Rifle, Stock, and the shooter.
GC2 is being steered by a gent called Andy Calpin. He is a former World FT champ from the early 90's I believe.
He still competes at the top level in the UK FT scene.
Now shoots for the Air Arms team I think.

Re: Can anyone tell me the make of Rifle, Stock, and the shooter.
Less than 500 made Geoff & most were sold with the standard factory multi adjustable stock shown in the 1990 photo.
Gary Cane & Dave Welham did most of the custom timber on them.
They were around £800 new, which in 1990 for me as a 3rd year toolmaker apprentice represented 10 weeks wages....which was 1.6 x the value of my car at the time !!
I dread to think how much something like that would cost to make now !!
