Advice required on Crosman 1077

Hello,
I'm new to the forum and I apologize if this has been covered before, but I've searched and haven't found anything. I have recently purchased a Crosman 1077 for the kids to learn on and have a bit of fun with. It's been a really big hit, to the point where we can burn thru 500 pellets and 12 bulbs in a hour or two. Here lies the problem, its starting to cost a packet, its actually cheaper to use the 22, but a lot quieter for young kids, and a lot more fun being a semi auto. So, I've been on the internet and seen modifications made so a paintball tank can be used to shoot all day. Has anyone done this? Or know where I can get the bits and pieces required in Oz?
Thanks in advance
