G'day all
how are you all going ?
well i finally did a little sighting work on sunday arvo !! and found this as a result (R9 .20cal, with Maccari kit , shooting jbs EXACTS )
at 10 yards POI is 15mm low
15 yards POI is 15mm high
20 yards POI is 0
25 yards POI is 15mm low
30 yards POI is 35mm low
question is, does these figures seem right ???
have been mucking around with a optimun point blank calculator , and the figures are out by miles , according to said program i should only have about 15mm differance to about 30 yards , but in reality at 30yards i got 50mm differance ???

THANKS FOR ANY HELP

Looking at ChairGun2 would help ,but you need to know scope height, MV and the BC of the pellet.

The program ChairGun2 can be downloaded from this site http://www.chairgun.com/

HTH some

Results are quite close to mine. I have zeroed my R9 in at 25m using the JSBs.
Still grinning

That's pretty similar to what I'm getting with the 97 HB.
FTS would be flatter.

20 yards POI is 0
HB, why such a short range zero? I Suggest you try a 25 or 30m zero and then do the trajectory experimentation.

G'day plantboy
yeah was thinking of taking it out to 25 yards ,but most of my shooting is at around the 20 yard mark , hence the 20 yard zero !
Also at 25/30 yard zero , thinking the hold under would be a bit much ?
but will try it out maybe thursday arvo ?
will also try the Beeman FTS !

I'll have to do some tests with my R9, it's 177.

I have had the odd beer tonight (must be one of those days of the week with a y in them.)

HB,
Don't worry just enjoy your rifle! R9s are fun. Remember though, if you buy a chrony, there are 2 types of people.
1 those who have shot their chrony and
2 those who are about to.

perhaps I'd better stop balancing mine on the balcony rail to shoot through.
