red rust...or is it

since getting the 97k and little r7 has been a little neglected, took it out today and found what looked like rust on. i am fairly anal about wiping with MP5 after evry shoot and was surprised to see this on it.

i have seen else where that it may actually be the oil itself leaving deposits

has anyone had something similiar happen

btw it wipes off using my polishing cloth and MP5 with a little elbow grease

Astro- I too have seen this and it looks like very fine rust, but I think it is just from using a cloth that is a bit dirty.!!!
Try using a new bit of cloth every time you wipe down, I am sure this will cure it.
