Anybody had any experience with the above titled??

The Hatsan's have a reputation for running a bit hot (heavier pellets work better), but they are loosely based on the Webley Raider design which was a cracking gun. They also come fitted with a Lothar Walther barrel

With regards to the pellet weight what do you suggest ?

BTW I have paid for 2 of them now (waiting for them to arrive in 3-6 months) so have time to get the rest of things in order

LOL DSD no nothing like that. I want one for my son & daughter and one for myself to enjoy together.

Well after a phone call from the shop to notify me of the fact that these models are no longer being bought into the country, I was told what was definitely in stock and that being the thumbhole version in .177 and an upgrade to the BT65 in .22 for an extra $125 so that's exactly what I did!

Well after all the usual confirmation of master card details and a new invoice emailed to me with a quoted arrival time of 4 - 6 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened a new email up last Friday to see that they had arrived in QLD and a tracking number to follow their progress down the coast to my designated shop of collection. They arrived at the shop yesterday afternoon and once the paperwork was found in one of the box's to do the state transfer had been completed I collected them this morning.

The BT65 .22 on top came with sling and bi-pod! AT44-10 .177 on the bottom.


Scopes should be here by next Tuesday (fingers crossed) and then the fun shall begin in earnest

Hi Gnome,

I use JSB Exact Heavy, which weigh 10.3 grains for the important stuff, and I'm using Beeman Ramjets (9.8gr) for general stuff.

You could start with RWS Superfield (8.4) and see how it groups. I have a preference for dome pellets with my rifle.

There is a thread I did a while back that give a bit of info on pellets......

I think if your air rifle doesn't shoot jsb exacts your in trouble. H&N also make good n's

Have been browsing through them for an hour or so now.

I was given a tin of RWS Super-H-Point 14.2 gr to run through the .22 and bought a tin of H&N Sport Baracuda 10.65 gr for the .177

Will definitely give the JBS a run as I like you and many others have said they work

Scopes will be here today so will be mounting them and give them a sight in on Sunday out at the range

From the literature I have been reading about the Hatsan's they say the barrels may be considered run in after 150-200 shots so that will give us plenty of fine tuning practice

Scopes have arrived and it was time to set em on but first things first was to remove the rear sight as the front bell was resting on it and not allowing the mounts to set on the dovetail.

Scope mount and removed rear sight.





Once the mounts were set in place it was time to put the scopes back on and get them nice and straight before securing down the ring tops.

Set up and ready to go


Will be doing the initial zeroing on Sunday at the range then the testing will begin in earnest

Good stuff will be interested to see how they go.
