Predator Polymer Tip Hollow Head Hunting Pellets

Post by Karve »

Hey guys,

Was cruising the 'Cabelas' website and found these little nasty looking buggers.

Can anyone tell me if these are available in Australia and has anyone ever used them?
Things sure have come a long way from the the old tin of WASP pellets

Do they work much differently to the conventional pellets?

Hi Lewis
With that long sharp nose on the Predator pellet would they work in the rotary mags of the MFR,s and FX rifles? Or could they be just a bit long to be able to cycle through those actions when loading.

Had a feeling that was the case. The JSB's do the job pretty well anyway.

Hey Lewis,

Those samples in stock, does that mean that you may soon be supplying them? I would love to get my hands on some.

Can you or anyone else tell me where I can get them in Australia? They remind me of a polymer tipped .17 HMR bullet I was handed a little while ago along with photos of a few rabbits that fell to them. That put me in the market for a .17 HMR...but alas .... more $$$$ than the budget will handle for the moment

Here is a link to one of Harry's post on the old ausairgun forum. If you search there you will find a few more.

Lewis can you send me some in 177 & 22 if you have them.

I seem to remember that someone going to make them with a shorter tip to fix the magazines. Other then that I know Harry single shot them .

No worries Lewis.
I have enough to do learning how the HW likes all the pellets I have already!
Those Exacts may be hard (for me) to shoot accurately but they sure do hit hard!

Maybe they will turn up in time to send with all the other stuff. (ZCK etc)

Hey Lewis,

Its .22 cal for me and that would be greatly appreciated. I love to test the performances on different projectiles/pellets. By doing that it gives me a greater understanding of how they will behave whilst hunting. I'll quite happily listen to anything that people can tell me, but the proof is in the pudding

If they are any good Lewis, I may get a few boxes .... if you decide to stock them :D

Cheers,

Karve. :D :D :D
