Well here is a shot of my first target @ 20 meters.
Shows how close Lewis got it and where it is after a few clicks.
I have read so much about artillery holds but this was shot with the rifle resting on a rice bag with me just holding the pistol grip to pull the trigger and butt light on shoulder.
0.16 group top left. Great rifle.
Couldn't be happier.
It's already keeping the critters off the veggie garden and absolutely murdering those cans.
I bought a 97K (.22) from Lewis and it's really nice. You will be very happy with yours. Treat it well and your children will be fighting over it when you go into that nursing home that none of us want to think about.
Dennis.
Thanks.
I'd need to do a bit of weight training.
It's pretty heavy.
Unless I'm not understanding freehand.
Do you mean standing and holding the rifle with no support?
G'day makrand
how are you ?
can see your over the moon !!! mate they are a beautiful A/R ! mate keep it up
Drew Jaeger ,
that is some nice shooting there , very nice ,
hope to get there one day
AR's are great Woob.
Just as much fun as a firearm but much cheaper to shoot and quiet if you get a springer.
I've had one most of my life and miss it when I don't.
They can be incredibly accurate as well as you can see from here.
If you can shoot one of these well you can shoot anything, they have quite a complicated (though light) recoil. Unless you get a mega-powered one of course.
So great practice for firearms too.
Many thanks to both Lewis and Makrand. Up here (suburban Townsville) we hav a MAJOR problem with mynah birds and the sparrows are coming in, and it's a really great temptation to get one of those lovely 97s and 'sort them out'. not legal of course, so I won't do that; you've still got my old brain ticking....
