Just before Christmas at the farm I gave the .177 TM 1000 its first go at 100 yards.
This is the 6 th group shot and which came in a little lull in the breeze.

It measures ctc 0.794 inches 20.17 mm with "On Target".

I was quite excited to get a good one from the girly calibre.
It was shooting JSB 8.4 gr Exacts at 880 fps for just 14.4 fpe.
My slow motion videos are showing that particular pellet to stay stable with perfect flight from this rifle at velocity MVs from 675 fps/ 8.5 fpe to 900 fps / 15+ fpe - even in stiff wind. Some will spiral between 920 and 975 fps and virtually all are spiraling at 1000 fps. ...

Some other pellets begin spiraling at relatively low velocity. Any pellet that spirals gets blown further by a given wind. At 1000+ fps these good 8.4 gr Exacts can be blown twice as far off course as they are at a stable flight velocity of even as low as 700 fps.

A really pleasant finding for me is that this rifle will shoot the Predator Polymags to clover leaf groups at 25 metres. A Myna taken out today was an instant kill with a centre chest shot; just like with the .22 version.

Here's a shot on a dessert spoon swinger at 71 yards: 8.4 gr JSB. I think the spoon was already cracked.

And a couple of shots on a gum leaf at 87 yards lasered:

I think this is a very good rifle for a .177 and the 8.4 gr 4.50 mm head size pellets that I have seem to be a good match at this power. The Baracuda Match 10.65 gr 4.50 to 4.53 mm pellets are good at 15 to 17 fpe too. ... Hope this is of some interest.

Kind regards, Harry.

I know it has been said before but if posts like these don't whet the apatite to want an air rifle I don't know what will they certainly did for me. Keep up the good work and all the best.

No - but here is a recent brief overview from one "respected" YF member:

I've got one in .177 and here is a quick review..

The cylinder must be removed from the gun before filling it, but I intend to modify that soon. I bought it 3 weeks ago & I was wondering why no one mentioned it on the yellow but some people told me it wasn't released in the US yet.

It's a good rifle but not the quality I was expecting from a company with 120 years. It's similar to the HW100 but the HW is much much smoother in cocking, the Diana feels "rusty" .

I also HATE the auto safety which I always forget and on top of that some times some pellets fall out of the mag, I'm not sure if its just the .177.

All in all its an "O.K" rifle. But it looks really nice that's about the best thing I like about it. I don't want to even start about the bloody tiny, 300 Bar, heavy cylinder with no quick fill.

And yes it uses the same air cylinder as the Walther 1250, so you can buy one & use it. ..."
..........................................................................

If I was contemplating buying one though, I'd wait 6 months to see what teething troubles emerge. ... Kind regards, Harry.

I've heard a few "whispers" about the Diana from some pretty reliable people and their advice was the same as Harrys, hold off for a bit if you are thinking about buying one :? , there are some issues with them. The fill pressure seems to be the major issue as they don't seem to like working at lower pressures. I am sure this could be adjusted but........ Having to remove the cylinder to fill it seems to be a major oversight and there seem to be concerns about overall finish. One would have thought that since it has taken Diana such a long time to get into the PCP market that they would have done their R&D a bit better. That magazine problem isn't just limited to .177 either.
