The date and details for this year's National champs are a bit too tight to organise a visit to compete this year. I don't think the required visitor's Lic could be approved in time. That is a shame. I suppose it could have been announced a bit earlier.
Next year we would like to see an AUS team attend our Nationals, for simply the reason of getting some experience of the location and environmental conditions here for your shooters. Worlds are more fun when you are not caught off guard by these things as it can ruin your day! Match shooting is a different proposition to the usual, and even great shooters can buckle under the pressure of a Worlds style FT match of 150 shots over three days.
The offer to host individuals or groups for attending any scheduled match in the NZAFTA calendar stands. Quick trip across the ditch.......get some familiarity before 2014. Also make some mates along the way. I'd put up a TransTasman trophy of some type for the occasion and perhaps perpetuity.
Harry, why not plan to come visit during the Worlds, see what we can really do with girly no1 bores???
