If there is interest I will start recording each time I go out with the airgun and put together a few movies. Might start putting them on youtube to make stuff easier.. but this is just a teaser right now, hence through photobucket.
Dont worry, the one at 83m didnt go much further than the blackberry bush.. he was done!
Click the picture below!

Good one AI, 83m is a decent shot with a 22LR, let alone an airgun, but it's a slippery slope you've embarked on, once infected by the photography bug you won't be satisfied until you're filming through the scope in slow motion

Yeah, got a bit of Canon SLR camera stuff, but will be buying a HD video camera soon enough. I have also looked into the mount for taking video through the scope. The mount is only $50 so it might be on. Only if enough interest I will post it up, other than that I will keep my video's to myself!!!
It is fun, I can tell you. The 83m shot had a fair bit of elevation dialled in. Somewhere in the 12MOA area off the top of my head, and it was shot kneeling too! Funtimes!!!
Cheers

The answer to your question; YES
I think it would be great,
Perhaps the blokes doing it can give us some advice on equipment.

Hey AI,
What mount you using there for your camera?
I want something like that for fox calling!
I have the through-the-scope mount and whilst it works, it is a PITA.

Mate
It is called a drift picatinny camera mount! I searched for a while trying to find something, took the gamble on this one. It is rigid, left/right ok by just twisting camera, but my elevation so scope and camera aligned was way off. Just built up back of mount with electrical tape until both in same direction. It works though... until I find something else that is better!
Yeah the through the scope mounts are pretty bulky and cumbersome looking!
Cheers

pellet is JSB Exact 16grain, velocity not over chrony yet but guessing around 910-930fps.

Went to the range to sight the air rifle in properly. I had to move the front ring to the rear move to allow the mount for the camera. Didnt sight it in after the move, was still good for a few hits still, but today to confirm a real spot on 50m zero. Problem... wind and air rifle! After the 50m zero then straight to 100m for zeroing.
All targets were shot with same aiming point so you can see the wind changes in the group locations. It also changed from 13.5 to 14moa depending on wind as well. I;d love to see what it could do on a nice still day, or in a shed at 100m. Either way the rifle is good for a rabbit at that range, and suprisingly still had a bit of engery at that range. Punching through the venier target backing with ease.
The group with shitloads of shots was for fun. I had a lot a pellets with damaged skirts from not storing properly. Some skirts were not to bad, other pretty bad. Some I just threw out. Suprisingly, I could tell that some would fly, but a lot would still group!
Time to get out on those rabbits and see if I can break that 100m shot! Im close at 93m! It is a hoot I might add to, like shooting centrefire long range gun at about 700-800m. Faaarking hard!
