Hey guys,
Am thinking about starting an airgun site like
www.huntandshoot.com.au for airguns only. Will probably include a forum as well.
Do you think there would be interest in this?
Would any of you be interested in writing articles for the site on a regular basis?
I would be aiming to make it more international so airgunners from around the world are interested.
Interested in your thoughts and ideas.

I'm in two minds.
On the one hand, it'd be great to get more airgunning exposure here in Australia. And I'm talking quality airguns not junk of course. But the market here Down Under is largely for the cheaper end of the market - which while interesting to some, had only so much you can talk about.
OTOH, there are already a ton of international and US based airgunning sites and sections on most Aussie forums for airguns.
Maybe just regular airgun articles and reviews on the H+S site?
Just my thoughts.

I must agree with Fenring Keith. I cant see that the numbers are here in serious Hunting/Sporting/Field target type air gun people to warrant your efforts.
The other dedicated Target AG shooters tend to live in a world of their own. But if you want to give it a go there are at least a core group of us out here that will pay attention.

I agree with Ray the dedicated Target AG type shooters do live in a world of their own but if we had somewhere where they could be "shown the light" or even somewhere they could congregate for their own discussions we may be able to turn them to the "dark side"
It may work, it may not. Not having a dealer network in this country (with the exception of a few)that understands the needs of airgun shooters doesn't help our cause but then if there was somewhere dedicated to airguns alone they may be "persuaded".
I think it would really be a case of suck it and see. I for one would be willing to submit articles / stories as to what is happening in our neck of the woods with regards to air rifle competitions that we attend and run, with the occasional hunting story thrown in for good measure.
