Armidale SSAA shoot a couple of weekends ago.

My best target on the day shot in the 50 metre Hunter BR rimfire comp with my BSA Hornet air rifle:

50.1/50

The choppy wind upset all so I was happy with a 236.4/250 aggregate. Thanks to the very welcoming Armidale Club for making me feel at home this time and at a few previous shoots when up there visiting our farm ........ Kind regards, Harry.

Hi Harry,

I assume this was the .22, or was it the .25?

Either way, thanks for your posts and the insights you share. I always look forward to them.

regards, curan

It was the .25 Curan but the lead marks around the holes only measure .224" so the official scoring shows no real advantage. At any rate they use a .224" plug. The barrel is tight and choked too and as you know air rifle bores are smaller than rimfires, I guess for good reason. .22 air rifle choked barrels typically measure 0.217" to 0.218" whereas rimfires measure 0.222, some are bigger. ... .. Kind regards, Harry. PS I have just responded to the fellows on the PB forum . H.
