Thanks fellas, a nice bit of historic rundown there Fenring.

Gary we used to have a rule, only pellets loaded in the muzzle for air gun wars, of course in the heat of battle the occasional one got put into the breech end, luckily we only had low powered springers that were mostly worn out.

A bit more pumper triva.

A Spanish company, Setra, made a Sheridan clone in .177 and .22 in the 60's to the 80's that was also sold on the UK market after being neutered to below their 12 ft/lb limit.

Never heard of any here.

Noticed this one didn't last too long on Used Guns.

I'm not surprised they are a very good bit of gear, especially in the condition described.

That was the one and the same. I know where there's another one with a hard to get dovetailed scope mount. He'll want a bit more though.

Ah one less so that I can add one more. :mrburns:

Greg Lundy's Ballistic Enterprise Scout mount is tha shit for these IMO.

Weaver 4x Grand Slam pistol scope in low Top Mount rings sits nice and low.

Bushnell TRS25 red dot - you can slide the mount as far back or forward as you want as eye relief is not critical.

Trying to get anything out of Greg is like squeezing blood out of a stone. I spoke to him (on the phone) in May last year and he had intended to make a batch of BE#1s for the classic version rifles. The BE#1s sit over the action like any other rifle. Emailed him several times since but drew blanks on all occasions.

Unfortunately (fortunately?) I no longer need one.

I had no issues, then read of others wanting mounts and they got no response either.
