A big shout out to Nate who shot brilliantly with the oldest, least powerful & dare I say most economical to own, self fettled Gecado 35 springer

It was a good turnout with 8 people attending including some new faces that had not tried FT before but had a great time. Very easy to loan your gear when it's only a few cents per shot. I was also happy to see we were able to achieve a difficult and challenging course even with the new range layout. The reduced kill zones on the closest targets proved to be the most difficult for the majority. By request I am going to see about organizing another session the weekend before the Nationals so those going (and anyone else who wants to) can get some extra practice.

The 77 got a good run, but seeing everyone else shoot it better than me tells me I need more practice with it

I was pretty damn stoked with how I went... i couldnt hit sh*t during warm up at all, was close to throwing the toys outta the crib & heading home, but managed to compose myself & get it all together on the day.

Huge thanks to Brad - by not showing up it was probably the biggest assistance I could get for taking out the #1 spot

taking those squirrels out at 50m with the gecado was just awesome fun to say the least 2.5mil dots & a quick prayer to get them there.

Given the fun had seems to be inversely proportional to the cost of the rifle (except for Gary), we might look at some kind of "Heritage" air rifle shoot with old school "slug guns" and open sights. Could be a lot of fun and would level the playing field.
