And now with a quick fill. A big plus.

Can someone tell me what the difference is between the FWB 300 and 300s?
Yes it is

Not much really. The mechanicals are basically the same inside. The 300S has a shorter cocking lever and a few other minor things that my memory block is preventing me from remembering.

The 300 is a lot rarer.

Thanks Lewis. I didn't think there was much. looks like the 300s has the adjustable cheek peace.

Only the 300SU (Universal) has the adjustable cheekpiece.

I've seen a couple in 22 and they do look nice and shoot like you would expect a Steyr to. I just can't stop wondering about long term accuracy with the pellet being shot from the magazine. I guess it will always line up the same.

There's something else on the FWB site that has been missed by a lot of people. I didn't think they were going to have another shot at this market but it looks like it's just been too hard to resist :D http://www.feinwerkbau.de/de/Sportwaffe ... eld-Target

You bastards do not help study

The basic looks like it still is almost as adjustable as the aluminium stock too.

Got to admit the basic caught my eye as well. I'm just trapped in the past with timber I suppose.

Can't help but wonder what the going price is, 'cause I reckon I can't justify one!

But who am I to whinge, with a 124 and a 300 in the safe!

Nice to hear he's found out who his Dad is! (that came out sounding wrong, but you know what I mean....)

The new one is heavier than the first one. Dad will help him.

I know what you mean LOL!!!

Thanks Wayne

Well, we still appreciate your advice, and there will be plenty of us fossils to hang out with in the museum!

Something different.
I have just had FWB agree to sending me a 600mm barrel, the one sleeved for the 800x 20.4 Joule Field Target rifle.
It will cost ( they have my Visa number) but now you can guess what I might do with it :hunting: I'll need some advice about who could be trusted to profile its rear end.

Lewis and I have already been talking up the new Sporter. Perhaps if we had a few get together we could get Lewis to revive FWB interest in the .20 cal. Then we help Lewis to get off his bottom and prove to Angus that he really was/is the greatest icon of the OZ air rifle world. Only the good guys need apply for preferred buyer status - shut out the trouble makers and give Lewis a smooth ride.

While my foot heals from a pretty nasty little operation my Greenfield at the farm lies idol, but a neighbour farmer has jumped in and been keeping the place spick with his Greenfield; mine's locked up; and Wendy has done the last two mowing jobs here at home bless her - with a Greenfield pusher. Might make that permanent  ... Best regards to all, Harry.
