I have heard/read that by changing the hammer spring out for the FT model increases the shot count, but I know bugger all about the internal workings, will be good to see if it can be improved.

Are you getting a full 200BARS into the cylinder?
You don't bleed the system like the Rapid.

Lewis- Yes a full 200bar fill.
When I screw it off the charge adaptor there is very little air loss and the gauge reads 200bar.
Regards.

If I screw the power right up to 21 Ft/lbs I only get 30 shots out of my .177 Steyr FT.

Is there an adjuster screw under the curved black composite trigger unit housing? Every one I have laid eyes on has one. Take off the HP stock, take off the black curved housing and it should be at the rear of the stock. It is a spring tensioner/adjuster and adjusts the output.

I replaced my factory setup with a retrofit adjuster from Steyr, and can now adjust the output externally, no need to remove stock and shroud, or swap spring and hammer. At 12 ft/lbs I get 110 shots, at 21 Ft/lbs I get 30 shots. 17 FT/lbs is optimum for .177, but unsure what .20 would be best set at.

The point being, you can make an adjustment with a large flathead screwdriver with a "V" cut into it, and find your own optimum output without changing internals. You just need to take off the composite trigger unit shroud and stock to access it. It is only two screws to get into it. (stock retaining screw, and a small screw in front of trigger guard) No big dramas, and nothing will be damaged.

Cheers
