I thought the 25 was out of production, it's not listed on HW's website, they start off with the 30.

But then I noticed the Gunroom has them ????

Absolutely!!

They’re little cuties and I even have Maccari springs for them!!!

The 25L runs Beeman P1/ HW45 pistol internals

That’s how little they are!

LWR58 wrote:The two best new airguns are the Weihrauch HW25L and the HW30S

The 25L is tiny and will get Lillian going for quite s few years until she’s big enough for the 30S

Then Hamish can use the 25L

That’s how it goes

Both are superb all metal German construction built to last forever

Both have auto safeties which is essential to protect fingers

You can but cheaper but they won’t last and there are usually no spares

Hope this helps
Lewis
Looking at the reviews (inc gunroom) they say the 25 is neither particularly accurate not powerful enough to kill a rat :/

Any reason i shouldnt just start with the 30?

Shooting is a bit like fishing, no fun if you get nothing for your efforts. (And whilst I'm trying to avoid the requirement for instant gratification that today's children seem to have, starlings and rats are the targets intended)

The 25L is a fair bit smaller and lighter than the 30S that’s why I suggested it at the moment

It will shoot around 600FPS with the lightest pellets and that will give you around 500FPS at10M

I wouldn’t like to cop a pellet from it!!!

Of course the 30S is a better choice and not that much more expensive
It gains another 100FPS and a far better trigger
It’s more adult than the 25 by a long way

You could use it comfortably too

I can also install a Maccari spring kit and scoping is easy
Definitely go the 30S!!!

Well, I know my profile says we are in Tas but we are imported stock. no weedy weaklings here, so I'm happier to have a little more kick than less accuracy/target mortality.

I'm 5'8" and Shauny is well over 6"... Hamish (at not quite 4yo) is bigger than many of the, ah, locally bred 6yo boys. Lillie is also going to be taller than me I'd wager.

I think I'll have a bit more of a look at the 30... and we can go directly to the .22 wmr from there. (With subs, maybe to start)

It's all how you hold her, eh?

I was going to say you can take it to the bank if it's from Lewis . Then I thought of what banks are like and I don't want to do a mate a disservice.
