I have now gone to the FX Storm Model. Anyone have any experience with this model?

Cheers

Oh dear you are gonna get it bad.!!!
Being able to shoot just about anywhere with an AR is great.
You will not be disapointed.
Regards
PS I think there was a review in one of the Aus shooter mags some months back.( not that it was well written.)

Oh My, I think he already has it, the storm is probably one of the nicest looking synthetic AR's I think and alot of features. Should be right up your alley.

Another good choice Trevor, I have just traded a pump action FX to Lewis,it is the same basic action in the FX Storm the difference is that the Storm is operated with the pistol grip sliding back instead of the traditional pump action where the fore stock moves instead on the PA version.
The action itself is quite good and can be very fast for repeat shots when you are familiar with it. A friend of mine has the Storm in .177 it shoots very well indeed.

Hmmm....now, let's work this out :

Good action = fast for repeat shots
Fast for repeat shots = more fun
more fun = more shots + more fun
more shots + more fun = more air needed
more air needed = more pumping with hand pump
more pumping with hand pump = bigger muscles!!

My god AI, you're gunna be one musclebound marksman!

:D :D :D :D

:auto:
(please just disregard the muzzle flash in this smilie - otherwise it'll be close  )

Great choice AI, I have the FX cyclone and love it. Expect to get 5 shot 50 metre groups between 0.5" and 1" (on full power) with the JSB 16gn exact pellets. From memory these are doing over 900fps. They also like the 21gn H & N Barracuda pellets. Good review on the storm in an old (2yrs) Guns & Game magazine, & you should be able to get a back copy.
Re: the handpump, it is a quality unit and makes the job easy as long as you recharge when the pressure drops to about 140bar. Trajectory starts to decline a bit at this point anyway and it only takes a minute or two to get it back up to 200bar. Having said that, I already had a scuba tank and I replaced the K-valve with a DIN valve, bought a few brass fittings & used the universal filler hose from the pump and I can now fill it in about 20 secs. Only cost $120. Just got lazy I guess... 8)
