only ever had anything to do with one hatsan and I'm not a fan. I agree with renno that they are very loud and not very accurate at all

You already know the story, in most cases you get what you pay for. For only a few hundred bucks theres plenty out there but i wouldn't expect to hit 10 cent pieces at 50 yards (but i wouldn't wanna be a minah at 30 yards). The Hatsans pack a lot of punch, perhaps even too much if you've got a galv or colourbond fence. Although your LGS might be useless it probably wouldn't hurt spending a bit of time in there letting them know your serious on an AR purchase.
