The "new technology" Rapid is the RAW TM 1000 made in Tennessee USA by Martin Rutterford who was a part owner of Theoben. Rapid Air Weapons is also making Rapids in USA. The TM 1000 is presently made in .177, .20 and .22 and has stocks designed for Field Target or bench rest.stillair1 wrote:Sorry to be a bearer of bad news . I am presently on a steep learning curve with the girly calibre and my RAW TM S/N 0082. Sooner or later I will file a report on what I have found about the rifle; and about the .177 calibre as it performs at high power (to 20 fpe) and at longer ranges. ...
Those who have Rapids now and like them (Mark) should still have them and be liking what they have in the rest of their lifetime. ... Kind regards, Harry.

Yes,it's true unfortunately. I've been communicating with Martin and Harry is correct, they have been making Rapids in the USA.
I wouldn't worry about the parts situation. Rapids are extremely reliable and Martin will be able to help.

Yes Harry, I'll be keeping mine. It just shoots too well to part with it. I really liked your new one. We'll have to hold a "Rapid Owners Day" soon!
