New Varmint Rifle #2

Post by Ackley Improved »

300WSM
BAT HR Repeater action (long action)
Manners T2A stock
Lilja barrel, 28" long plus brake (0.950" at muzzle)
APA muzzle brake
Badger M5 metal
Badger rings
Premier Heritage 5-25
USO level
ACI (not on rifle currently)
Jewell trigger
Harris BR-S notched legs
Podloc
TIS sling

Currently shooting 200SMK @ 2895fps. No pressure, but very happy with accuracy so will keep there. Not hard on the brass which is great. Absolute pussy to shoot with brake, can spot the impact no problem. Shot to 950m today, and it did it well!

Trev,

That is one very nice looking rifle and you certainly spare no expense when you build them.

Is there any other benefit of having a Long action for the WSM other than being able to seat the bullets out further?

Lovely rifle AI, I dream of own a rifle being built from such quality component.

How come you are selling it already?

Does your car need to produce more horses? :o

Found a race motor.. just rebuilt all forged internals... big dollars spent and needs to get rid of. Motor is capable of making a good 330-350rwkws and still being reliable. This is 100rwkw more than I had. This would take my little car into another realm....

power to weight ratio would be equivilant to around a 840bhp new commodore or falcon...

I am not fussed if it doesnt sell, I am very happy to keep it!!! Will have to make do with 230rwkw's

Cheers
