Re: Tikka .223 Magazine Help
mick, i was thinking the same thing lastnight about my t3 in 204. that's the only thing that i've found a problem with the t3's but not such an issue to me since i get the groups i want when seating them to fit the mags.
i was pondering on either dremeling out the back of the mag and glueing/screwing in a block that allows more room for more oal of the cartridge or taking a mould of the mag and making my own out of fibreglass. second idea seems too much work.

if you change your short action bolt stop to a medium action one it would allow you to use a medium magazine instead of you current short action one. i was going to do this to my tikka lite stainless but when i went to pick it up from the lgs they had ordered a 1 -12 twist not wanting to wait another 6 weeks i kept it. my rifle wont stabilize anything over 60 grains so i have no need to do this anymore. gives me another reason to get my 7mm wsm

The medium magazines are for the 22-250 to 338fed. Would the 204R to 223rem fit with the magazine lips? or slip out?
Re: Tikka .223 Magazine Help
i know that you can change from medium to large my plan was that if it didnt i would built it up with devcon. the .22- 250 base diameter is only 2.3 mm larger than the the .223 (wikipedia). if it was to big of a gap i was going to try to take the short mag apart dremel the stopper at the back to the same size as the medium one and use the medium spring and follower.

i don't think the medium sized mag will hold a 223 or 204. my 22-250 mag out of my tikka m55 won't take a 223. lips too loosecam_mackps2 wrote:The medium magazines are for the 22-250 to 338fed. Would the 204R to 223rem fit with the magazine lips? or slip out?

mick204, seat your bullets to where you want them and single feed your rifle. if it's range work no problem and if hunting... well hit your game first shot.
