Trying to chase down some info regarding the Ruger M77 Mark 1.
You know the one,it's got the shotgun(Tang)style safety on it.

Any links would be much appreciated as I cant seem to dig much up.

1)I'm trying to find out a few things, one being does the tang safety block the firing pin(Just like the Browning A-Bolt does)?

2)Is it CRF,as it seems to have a claw extractor?
Got a feeling it works kinda like the new Sako 85 CRF system, where it engages near the end of it's cycle?

3)How many actions lengths did it come in?

4)Positives & negatives?

I know they had adjustable triggers.

Cheer boys,
Tez :D .

I have had several of them-------all bloody accurate rifles.
No, they are not CRF, and the rifles I had were a 25/06 and a shorter action chambered in 220 Swift. I have a 220 heavy barrel and a standard barrel swift.
I get them out of the safe and let you know about the safety locking the bolt.
I fitted a Timney trigger to the Heavy barrel.

The matte stainless should sell well,& the new floor plate latch looks allot like Wtby's Mark V.

Yeah that would be all bad, considering the pedigree of that model.

What do you blokes think about the other changes,& are they really needed?
