Anyone want to help me out and post some pictures of their .17 HMR's?
I would love to see some of the Savage thumbhole in particular...

Sorry if this seems lame, but I just cannot wait until mine arrives!

Plain old first month production Marlin, bought when it was so new, you couldn't get ammo for several months. I glass-bedded it, dinked around with the trigger, put on a Burris FFII 3-9, and have killed prairie dogs out to 250 yards with it. First thing out :hunting: , killed a crow at 175 yards, then on and on, it's one of those "lucky" guns, I always seem to find something worth killing when I have it handy, which makes it a very "happy" rifle. I've shot a group or two down to .25" at 100 yards with it, too, using a more powerful scope, of course. Nose around and get several lots of ammo, and stock up on the better lots. This one favors Hornady and Federal 17 V-Maxes, and won't shoot the other loads worth a damn.
