20BR.......

Great brass
Flat Shooting
Dies from Redding
Little recoil
Very accurate

Only downside is feeding from a magazine!

How about a 22 Dasher... shooting 40Vmax?

all good points but the only change I would make is .20 PPC instead of .20 BR.
All the laod data I have seen for the .20 BR can be matched by the .20 PPC with less powder

I've either got or have on the way,

17Mach Fireball, 204, 223, 6/250 and 17HMR if we count rimfires.

I think i dont need any more

BUT

I have strong desire for a 20ppc or maybe even a 20 BR. I've read some guys on US forums crooning over 20 dashers and 20/250. Overbore comes to mind but if you dont need it and are just out for some fun one of those 2 launching the 50gn from a 1 in 9 twist at around the 4000fps mark has FUN written all over it 8)

I think he is after some whacky ideas.

Why not a 17 or 20/303 for those of us with a SMLE addiction?

I am sure it will be inefficient and burn barrels ans it will be hard to get a super accurate one from a SMLE action. A P14 action may be a different story though.

My 20 cal barrel came in the other day, but I can't decide whether to turn my .223 into a .20Tac, or build something new on a Rem 700 action I have and keep the .223 as well (Though with a new 6mm about to be built by Shane when the barrel arrives, I'm not sure I need .20, .223 and 6mm?)

.20BR/PPC sounds good, but I did want it to feed from a mag.

Sako made a PPC repeater if you can get one for the donor action or a standard one if Shane can get a PPC version to copy the adjustments to the mag box.

I have been told a CZ in 7.62x 39 is a good PPC donor and I have seen Ogre's repeater 6Br on one of the older Tikka's (M595?)

I have a notion to try a Salvage single shot. Something to do in a year or so

Again, as the question referred to rabbits and foxes (and presumably moggies) I'd stick with a 17 or 20 cal; just being a bit specific/pedantic whatever..

I would love to use my Sako 75 (Currently in .243) for a .20BR, but when I was enquiring about a 6BR based on it, there were concerns about it feeding. I assumed the same issues would apply taking it to .20BR, though I may run it past Shane for his opinion, as he'd be the one building it!

Otherwise, I could use my .223 Sako for a .20Tac, make the .243 a .22-250 or .220 Swift if I decide I still need a .22, and carry on with the new 6mm build as planned as well...but that starts getting expensive, and I've already spent way more than I should! :(

Decisions, decisions....

may be wrong but i believe it was the L461 action that came in PPC. I did ask Shane about one at one stage so know he can make a standard L461 feed ppc cases if he could see how the factory have done the feeding ramp etc in a PPC so he could copy it

I have asked Shane to do 20ppc on a mag fed L461. 1 in 9 twist barrel should arrive before Christmas.

I know someone who has a factory mag fed 6ppc L461 that feeds perfectly.

Sako actions feed very well, I have a 6BR on a L579 with no mods & it feeds better than a lot of factory rifles. Also Tikka & newer single stack savages should work.
