Which .20 cal barrel?

So I am in the market for a .20 cal barrel for a Sako L461. Looking at a Sako HV profile, and would prefer blued but not sure they are available (have only seen SS in .20 cal).

The action needs re bluing, so have also thought about cerrocoat of both action and barrel - it will wear a nice walnut stock so would need to carefully choose a color if I go this way.

Which barrel maker would you suggest?

I got a Pacnor from Seddo for my 20/222, cant complain with the way it shoots, its 1 - 11 twist if that matters. Got a couple of Maddco 1 - 10 twist that have been on order for the last 9 months, they are supposed to have been made and sent, but haven't heard. Lilja make a good one from what I have read. Really its a toss up between them I think, just depends on availability.

My 20BR will have a Lilja but I'm a little biased!

It's hard to find 17 and 20 barrels in chrome moly.

With my Target Rifles and various builds, i have used most of the "brand name" tubes.

Any of the major brands, including the Aussie ones will deliver the accuracy and lifetime that your after.

Pretty much just put the names into a hat and pull one out, they are all quality barrels.

It's on the cards in a month or two, apparently he has a 1:12" button now.

Alan & Grant Swan button rifle Cr-Mo barrels, heat treat and blue barrels themselves among other gunsmithing work. They recently added SS barrel options and +28" lengths on special order.

I have a 510cal 35" Chrome barrel made by Swan to test soon. A mate has one but he is using it as a fire forming barrel and i havent asked if he has shot groups with it.

I had a benchmark on my 20x47 and it took ages to run in. A mate has a benchmark on his 7mm and he said the same thing but once his settled down it shot like stink. I didnt give mine a chance to settle down and sold it after about 60 rounds.
