Chris its causing me a bit of a quandary as I had always planned on a 6x47L when the barrel on the 6/250 wears out but a 70gn 6mm or a 55gn 5.56mm, well there is a poopteenth of difference there in what you can do with either.

So I'm thinking of optimizing the 6mm for the 87gn vm or heavier to increase the bc or even going SLR but this is some time away

The 22 barrel may wear out first

Thats fast, my mate has a 22/250 and he can just get that velocity with 50 grainers and the barrel gets very hot very fast.
