There is no real figure as if depends on why you want. None of those builds have been done since the dollar dropped so I can't really help.
Barrels - TSE will fit a CM barrel for under $600
Triggers - you can touch up the original or add a timneybor jewell.
Stocks - McMillan, manners, HS Prec or Boyd's as a cheap option

It depend what you want done to it. I'm not a gunsmith so there isn't anything hands on I can do but I'm happy to point you in the right direction.brahman wrote:You have me thinking now maybe a xmas presant for my self would you be interested in doing it
what sort of build did you have in mind?
Remember you can convert it to a long action calibre if you like. I've converted a few 243's to 6.5x284, 25-06AI, 280AI, you just remove the block in the mag box, modify the bolt release and get a longer follower.

Keep in mind your pushing to get anything out of McMillan this side of Christmas. They are down to quoting 5 months but that's not leaving any room.

20x47 will work, a 20BR will as well but you will have to get a sako extractor fitted to extract the shorter case.brahman wrote:Thats fine i wouldnt be wanting it for xmas that be when ill prob start not in a hurry i mite just get a new barrel and use it as a knock about on the ranger yet just thinkn

260 or 6.5 Creedmoor are you best options, i have them both on M70's, as the small primer and possible loose firing pin fit wont be any good for a 6.5x47.

B&C do a hunting stock but its been a while since i have looked at them so i cant say for sure. You can do a BR but you have to get a sako extractor fitted if you want it to throw cases otherwise they will fall off the factory extractor. I've never played with a dasher but i would assume you will still need a sako extractor as the case length is still the same.
I wish i still owned all of them but thats life, you cant have everything.
