For those that are interested 4500 with a 40 grainer is doable but not without getting a bit of a sticky bolt lift , 4400 was no problem ,i ended up settling on a 52 amax at 4100 , no sign of pressure and even though the conditions were crap ,windy and hot it still managed to keep the elevation down around 1/2 inch at 200 but they were a around 1.3 inches wide .This load will do at the moment ,ll try it out on crows soon :D

Ackley i will run whatever bullet it shoots well and flat out ,either a 40 B/tip at around 4500 or a 50 around 4250 ,this would be ideal ,but we will wait and see :D

Should be able to get them to really POP with that thing spitting them out at 4500fps.

That should do the trick. Swift is my personal favourite.

Mark you indeed have a fine taste in varmint rifles. I hope this sucker smites many a crow with plastic tipped fury.

By the way how is the nesika in smoothness compared to the stiller BRX or the barnard S in straight swift?

I have always liked the 52 amax in the 22-250ai.
Good choice across a wide range of victims that may present themselves. You have three hundred fps on me so that means more dead crows.
