Anybody know if they are still making the 96/22 in 22LR?
I can only find info on the 96/22m (22mag) and 96/17m (17HMR).

trying the old say 'a change is as good as a holiday' and want to try a lever action out. Accuracy is not the most important thing as it is just a plinker/ rabbit gun.

for exactly the reasons you state, I bought a Henry 15 shot lever

Dad prefers detachable mags that is the main reason i like the 96/22.

A mates dad offered me one about 12 months ago for $800 with a 2.5x Leupold on top, it was secondhand and i found i could get a 96/22m for $500 brand new and the scope is a little bit small for my liking, so i turned it down.

I know the 77/22 can hold 25 in a (rotary ???) mag. Bolt action though

Bring back the 10/22 I say and I would be extremely happy
Wont see one of them again in my lifetime I imagine not in Vic anyhow
