Howa barreled actions
Howa barreled actions
Hey all,
Are any shops still selling these rifles minus the stocks. Looking for a varmint, fluted blued or stainless in .243?
Cheers
Dave

Barrel thread?stinkitup wrote:Do they have the same thread as a Remington?
No, the Remington 700 and the Howa actions do not share the same action thread.
The Howa is 26mmx1.5mm metric.
The Remington 700 is 1.0625in x 16TPI. That is 26.98mm x 1.5875mm. A careful machinist could re-cut the Remington to fit the Howa by starting in the middle and working outwards to either side.
