Ok, after today I am selling all my Tikka's / The Cooper / CZ's and Brno's . . . . and buying bloody Zastava's. . . . .

Ok well not really

Zastava Mod 70
Left Hand model (the missus is another one of them kack handed fools)
.243 Winchester
The action has been bedded (I am pretty unhappy at how much I paid for it to be done, and the end result - It looks a very rushed Friday arvo job)
Factory trigger weight (Needs a bit of attention for creep, and weight)
Action has not been "smoothed" so is a little "gritty"
Weaver base with Burris Signature Zee 1" rings
Rudolph Optics 4-12x50 (Set parallax of 100m)
(I will compile a review on these scopes later)
Zastava.JPG
Same load I made for the Cooper - same OAL, same everything. . .

Winchester Case
CCI LR primer
40gn ADI 2208
70gn Taipan HP

0.679" group
Zastava group 1.JPG
Zastava Group 2.JPG
Do you think she is happy ?? Hell YES.

From what I have seen and experienced with them, they are a very honest performer for the price of them. I wont be getting rid of any of mine.

Also the M70 is a modern full mauser type action, where as the M85 is a clone of early Sako l46 front and mauser rear.

Neither is better than the other, they are different critters designed to use different cartridges.

Camel does that mean that the bolt doesn't look like the cz 527 ? which looks just like a true mauser but 'mini'

Yep, the bolt body on a M85 looks just like a Sako, doesn't have a full length extractor like mauser, but has a guide rib like Sako, the extractor is a hinged hook setup around 6mm wide but that doesn't seem to hinder extraction at all.
