Just a couple of teaser photos of my newest "Love of my life",
Brno 601 purchased from steve2141 a few months ago. Was 308win, now 7mm08 Rem, barrel is an Adams and Bennett, stock work by Missed, chambered and fitted by old mate from Wagga D.D.

One the range, and I think it shoots rather well for starting loads. Brass - Nosler custom, primer Fed 210 L/R. There should be a black sticky 3/4 inch black dot just to the left of the 2nd sight 100m and an inch below the three shot group.

I think I will like this one. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Its a job in progress, still got to blue the barrel and the trigger needs a lot of work on it, very draggy, I think Ill get into the seer with a couple of diamond hones. Failing that, does anyone know of a replacement trigger system for the Brno 601 series rifles. I don't want to convert it back to the set trigger.

That's a nice looking bit of kit - shoots very well too. I can see why it is your new love.

I haven't seen that old style printer paper for many, many years - you like to hoard old stuff do you Camel?

  What, me a hoarder, well kinda sorta, truth be told I went out to a mates place a few months ago and his missus asked me if I could use the box of it she had. I will admit that my shed has stuff in it that my old man "saved" from destruction or the tip, back to the 1960's. Its all really good stuff, honestly.

I've also got a 601 (it was my grandfathers) although mine is a fast twist 22-250 with the set trigger and have often contemplated having it rebarelled to 7mm08.

That printer paper. I remember that from 1st grade and that was 30 years ago.

  Yep quite proud of that one, made it up in about half an hour when I was working out bush a couple of years ago, check out the rear bag, its the cut off sleeve from a King Gee workshirt, sewn up with a bag needle and filled with rice. Only made the star wheel on the rest the other day, 8 inch galvanised nails cut down and welded to a nut. Ill be bringing it down tomorrow, if anyone wants the plans.

Thanks John, in my opinion they make a great hunting rifle, was thinking of trying to find a 600 in 7x57, but got the 601 for a good price and couldn't knock it back. Its really all Keiths fault, he was selling a set of 7-08 dies a while ago and the temptation got too much for me.
