Hi
Just got my Tikka Hunter LH stainless steel fluted barrel in 7mm/08 from Abelas. It took a while to get here but I was pleased with the rifle. I topped it with a Zeiss Duralyt 3-12X50 in Optilock mounts.

Nice looking rig mate. Just a question, why the big scope on a hunting rifle ?

Camel
What I was looking at was at the lower end of the scale, 3x it will handle close stuff (same as 3-9x40) and long range at the top end of the magnification. Not every shot will be under 100yds.
just my thoughts
Regards

Not sure he was questioning the magnification, more the physical size. Is there a rifle in that picture of the scope

Nice rig. I've got 1 in 243 synthetic. I've got a 40mm on mine but a 50mm would be useful when spotlighting.
