Your Ultimate Rimfire
Hi Gents,
I'm interested to know what you would like in a Rimfire rifle if you could select the build components, for example:
- Barrel weight, length and material
- Action style and material
- Rail vs. Dovetail
- Stock material and shape
- Magazine capacity and material
- etc, etc.
Cheers guys,
Jason.

Ah hell, I guess I've got mine now. CZ455, with all three barrels (just picked up a .22Mag barrel last week.) I've got a couple rimfire scopes, one zero-ed for each chambering. I swap scopes when I swap barrels.
I've had a wad of 10/22s, and they just don't set me on fire. Neither do the Marlin 60 I've had since I was a kid, or the old Remington 24 .22 Short gallery gun.

Depends on what its for I suppose,if I wanted and accurate hunting rifle then a deluxe 1710 stock to suit a 54 annie repeater and fitted to the one below would do nicely.

It will come eventually. It will have to. Probably won't be for a few more years though.deadkelly wrote:i don't ask for much all i want is a 20 cal rimfire magnum . i'd love the whallop that the 22 mag has with the accuracy of a 17 with a range of 130 - 150 meters for hares cats & foxes & other smaller preditors around the world .

know the 5mm well . i have never seen one but it was a bit before my time . the 5mm rem needs a reberth or maybe a new round using thinner brass & better modern projectiles . what is remington doing . instead of butchering marlins give us the best of both worlds when it comes to rimfire magnums .
