G'day Trev,Yeah some good bits were used
...............scope lets it down a bit...............................I think, the outfit ended up a little bit heavier than I thought it would,as it sits in the pics it weighs 8lb 12oz.....................................I can live with that

Surgeon RLR action
manners stock
Jewell Trigger
Lilja 26" sporter contour

Re: New hunting rifle.
Thanks for the comments,I was a hunter first and formost and sort of stumbled upon the target/BR side of things by accident, one day I realized that near every rifle in the safe had a thumping big barrel and/or a single shot so if I wanted to go hunting I really didn't have a good hunting rifle.
I also like the accuracy side of things so...........save,scrimp and save some more and finally I have the Surgeon, was it a cheap process.......
.......................not in this lifetime,do I feel it was worth it.......SHIT YEAH.........................plan is to get a barrel chambered in 338/06 for it next year and that will do me..........................nearly
