Ruger Hawkeye Predator vs Ruger Hawkeye All Weather

Post by Andries »

Hi All,

Have done a bit of searching on the net...but can't get an answer!!

Apart from the stock, is there a difference?

Anyone had one and/or the other? Your thoughts?

Cheers, Andries.

Hi mate,

I would suggest that the barrel may be slightly heavier, the finish on the action is different (the predator is the target grey finish). The Predator also has a 5 shot capacity (in .223 anyway) the all weather only has 4.

LOP
Overall length are both identical.
The weight may be due to the laminate being heavier and it may not be a different barrel (aside from the finish) at all.

If it were me I'd get the predator but only because I find it sexier.

Hi

I have the Ruger Predator in .204 and was told it has a mid-varmint barrel which is a good compromise for a walk around rifle between a sporter and a heavy varmint barrel.

Thanks Cammo, have you had any problems with the rifle at all ?

I ask because an acquaintance of mine has had problems with his 'all weather'...

Cheers!

Hi Andries

None what so ever. Mine is a .204 and using 39gn Federal Sierra BlitzKing V-Shoks it is shaping up to be pretty accurate. No action problems and a lovely stock. Yeh, I like it!

I was told that the predator has an improved 2 stage trigger witch is different to that of the all weather

Predator is dead sexy and good trigger to boot unlike some of its ruger cousins.
