I going to call that one! What a load of rubbish!

If the barrels were CRAP the rifles would not have the accuracy reputation they clearly have. Shotout I don't know where you get your information, but how about you back your statement up with hard facts?

lol fellas . good to see the riverly still there . seriously i did own a ruger vt 223 before i bought the savage , but it seemed to go off accuracy very quick ? .gun shop had no expanation for that one .as for cleaning & accuracy well , ill stick to my savage any day. only wish savage put more build qaulity into the triggers . hope you all know im just trying to get fish to bite .- about the rugers anyway !
good thing the savage did was put a 1 in 9 twist barrel in for those 69gr sierra,s . does ruger still only build the 1 in 12 or have they woken up yet ?. took savage along time to realize they needed a 1 in 13 twist in thier 308 target & vt rifles instead of the 1 in 10 twist we had to put up with .

Oh I am light and I do have a sense of humour. That said when someone is deliberately shit stirring and mixes their facts up I like to point it out

not frustrated as alot of bitches seem to be on here ,, nor was i intending to start a aurgument or start SHIT stiring , but seems i found a sore spot , i must say sorry if i offended you poor fellas with ya delicate rugers , maybe we are not allowed to own anything else or have opinions on guns we HAVE OWNED . funny thing is at my long range big bore club there is NOT one ruger on the line - most are savage - omark - barnards - loyd nielsens . if the rugers are SO KNOWN for acuracy then why dont people put THIER MONEY WHERE THIER MOUTH IS ON THE FIRING LINE ?. I DID & NOW I KNOW THE FACTS .

Since i dont own my Ruger yet i cant be too biased for it. But i do know that it is not fair to compare a Factory Varmint rifle to a dedicated target rifle. I believe the whole point to this thread is on how well it performs in the feild not in a shooting comp!!

That would depend on the cartridge.

I couldn't seat into the lands with my 308. But it still shot groups less than 1in in size at 200m anytime I wanted it too. The current owner of the rifle is very happy with it, he shot his first ever 1 hole 5 shot group with the rifle. I may regret selling that rifle one day.
