Righto, on second thoughts Chris that looks shithouse. I will hide it my safe for you if you like, Whatever you do dont take it to the range as all your mates will laugh at your ugly rifle and you will be the butt of their jokes for years.
See what a nice guy I am

And what would you expect, they might have been a pretty good cheapy in their day, but those are gone now. Hows about you put up a photo of this fantastic Sportco for us to see. Or put the stock in the for sale section, someone may need some firewood.
Chris, that stock came up pretty well in the end. I was there a couple of time when Andrew was doing the work for you, he was a very frustrated fella. It really did come up nice.

I'm tossing up whether to buy a tikka or build from the ground up. Decisions decisions.

I'm with you on that. A Boyd's stock, zastava action and TSE barrel runs pretty cheap in my book

If I go custom it will be Pierce action, lilja barrel, GRS stock and probably VX6. If I go Tikka it will be GRS stock (or kickinback clone) and an unknow at this time scope. Oh and a Grenfell brake, regardless of build or buy.
Edited for clarity
