Thanks Adam, it is a good shooter! I think the rifle actually shoots better off a bipod than it does of a rest. That 800m F-class shoot off my $30 eBay Harris copy amazed me last Saturday. 6 v-bulls and 4x5's off a bipod with a 16x scope.

The moral of the story is that a Howa is a really good rifle out of the box and can be made to shoot as good as pretty much anything you could buy or build with a weekends work. I've shot my light barreled 308 in a 700-50m practical comp, 70 or so shots in an hour and even though it was smoking by the end it still shot perfectly (wish I could say the same for myself!).

P.S. Adam, I got a .8mm HVLP spray gun today so I might have to do some oven building tomorrow.
